SEMH Teaching Assistant, Bristol Temporary to permanent opportunity Competitive rates of pay Ongoing training & development My client is a well know and rapidly growing pupil referral unit that is Ofsted registered are seeking a teaching assistant to join their team. This school provides full time, alternative primary and secondary education for pupils that have been permanently excluded from mainstream education due to their challenging behaviour, thus due to the nature of the pupils, classes sizes are small, with a maximum of 5 per class and the establishment is stretched across multiple sites across the Bristol region, thus a clear UK current driving licence would be advantageous, although not essential.The ideal candidate will ideally have experience of working within a SEMH role or have worked in a particularly challenging environment with children between 4 – 18 years. Patience, resilience and flexibility are essential for this post in order to cope with the unpredictable behaviour of the pupils on a day to day basis.
