Job Description

The Company: I am currently working on behalf of a regionally renowned IFA/wealth management firm who and are looking to add a QCF level 4 qualified paraplanner to their adviser support team, based out of a Wakefield site.

  • Location: Wakefield
  • Hybrid Working: Yes - 3-days office | 2-days WFH
Package: £32-35k base DOE + bonus and full company benefits
  • Benefits: 21 days holiday plus stats, 5% pension, 4xDIS on top of a full flexible benefits package
  • Bonus: Discretionary - Paid annually
The Role: Reporting into the Head of Paraplanning this role will sit within the firm’s research/report writing team and work closely alongside advisers to provide HNW private clients with advice to help them achieve their financial goalsin a lifestyle planning style of advice.
  • Checking of Fact Find Information to ensure it meets FCA requirements
  • Assisting with the identification of demands and needs and possible solutions
  • Checking assessment to investment risk and capacity for loss
  • Carrying our research on existing arrangements
  • Carrying out whole of market research on products meeting clients’ needs and objectives
  • Ensuring supporting documentation and records meet FCA and Tenet requirements
  • Preparation of recommendations and suitability reports
  • Communicating with clients and providers
The Person: Detailed knowledge of the private wealth sector is required, as well as being QCF level 4 Diploma qualified. We are looking for:
  • 2+ years hands-on practical paraplanning experience
  • Investments, pensions and IHT/tax planning caseload exposure
  • Advisers looking to take a step into a technically biased back-office support function are also encouraged to apply.
