As an Assistant Cook at Hall Cliffe School, youll be in the kitchen and front of house, preparing and serving a range of tasty, nutritious food. Youll be working at the heart of our school, serving staff, our young people and visitors. Well expect you to follow food hygiene rules and keep health and safety in mind. But the key is to create varied menus that encourage our young people to trynew food. Youll help plan meals, taking into account any specific dietary requirements.Were ideally looking for you to have catering experience gained in a professional setting, but if you are a highly competent home cook who copes well with feeding the masses, wed still like to hear from you. A Basic Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate wouldbe beneficial as would GCSEs or an equivalent qualification in Catering, for example, an NVQ Level 2. However, to be part of our team, the key ingredient is having the right attitude. If youre hard working, friendly and dependable, you could be the perfectfit.Hall Cliffe School is a day school catering for up to 104 boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 16. The school is located in a beautiful Grade 2 listed building, with state of the art facilities, which allow us to deliver a creative curriculum. Alongsideour academic subjects, our young people have access to our brand new, off site Vocational Centre that opened in September 2018. We offer courses such as Motor Vehicle, Construction and Hair and Beauty, allowing our young people to grow and reach their fullpotential.For children with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond.
