Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with a multi-award-winning manufacturer who are looking to recruit a HSE Specialist for their Holmfirth site. With a long history of heritage and a forward-thinking approach to innovation and sustainability,the business designs and manufactures products for the commercial, public transport and residential sectors. The business are looking for an HSE Specialist who is not only enthusiastic and motivated but also possesses the adaptability to navigate the complexitiesof health, safety, and environmental challenges.This role is integral to reinforcing their steadfast dedication to a safe and sustainable work environment and you will play a leading role in implementing and refining their critical systems. Directly reporting to the Head of Health, Safety, and Environment,you will be a guiding force for safe, compliant operations that align with their zero-harm ethos.Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • To promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture in the business by coaching and supporting other colleagues
  • Integrate Group health, safety, and environmental standards into site practice.
  • Improve health and safety visibility, environmental compliance, and awareness of safety and environmental standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to highlight concerns related to health, safety, and environment, and propose suitable corrective actions.
  • Lead external health, safety, and environmental audits and visits relating to safety and environment by third parties and regulators.
  • Develop and deliver in-house training on various health, safety, and environmental issues and awareness promotional activities.
  • Prepare monthly reports incorporating group metrics, site activity summaries, and environmental data.
  • Carry out health, safety, and environmental onboarding for new employees to the facility.
  • Maintain health, safety, and environmental management system documents and records.
  • Lead and coordinate health, safety, and environmental committee meetings.
  • Undertake other work related to the role as determined by the Head of Health, Safety, and Environment.
Im keen to speak to HSE Professionals with the following skillset:
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment
  • Hold the NEBOSH General Certificate or be working towards this or an equivalent
  • Hold a recognised environmental qualification (e.g., IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management)
  • Knowledge of systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
