Job Description

Client AccountantHoddesdon (hybrid working after training considered, subject to criteria)Permanent; 37.5 hours per weekSalary: From £25,000 to £30,000 per annumResidential Management Group is a market leading Managing Agent with superb systems and robust processes, so when you join us as a Client Accountant, you’re equipped with the best support to deliver a service charge accounting service to our clients, thatis second to none.At RMG we manage small and large blocks and estates for RMC (Resident Management Companies), L&T (Landlord & Tenant) and Developers. You’ll be working alongside a great team of service charge accounting professionals, led by a highly experienced senior managementteam.Due to portfolio growth, were expanding our Service Charge Accounts Team and have a new career opportunity for a Client Accountant (Service Charge Accountant) to prepare the year end service charge accounts for a new portfolio. You’ll be working alongsidea great team of finance professionals based at our Hoddesdon head office. After training, we can consider hybrid working (subject to criteria). If you have previous experience preparing and reviewing private sector residential service charge accounts, thisis the ideal role to further develop your experience, skills and knowledge.What will you be doingClient Accountants at RMG ensure the timely and accurate production of Service Charge Accounts including liaising with auditors, Property Managers and Clients as needed.

  • Prepare service charge accounts in accordance with current legislation and industry body requirements within 6 months of the year end.
  • Liaise with all interested parties throughout the process to ensure queries are responded to in a timely way.
  • Process any amendments following external and/or internal agreement between parties
  • Meet all Service Level Agreements within stated deadlines.
  • Take responsibility for the full preparation process even whilst not actively involved to ensure timely completion
What are we looking for
  • Previous experience preparing and reviewing residential service charge accounts.
  • Medium to advanced user of MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word.
  • Highly organised, forward thinking, taking a lateral approach to problem solving.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, being always polite and courteous to both internal and external parties.
  • Have a proven work ethic; striving to constantly improve personal performance while working towards team objectives.
  • Demonstrate a consistent high level of customer service.
  • Communicate in a well written and professional manner making sure all work is correctly formatted with grammar and spelling checked before being issued.
