Job Description

Business Development ManagerAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Business Development Manager based in Newcastle. The salary for the role is commission based and uncapped.Hours of work will be Monday-Friday with a mix of Covid safe office work, home and travel. Hotel stays will be required.The interview process for the role would be initial telephone conversation followed up by a meeting if deemed suitable.Role Requirements

  • Preferably have solid sales or industry experience in the Care and Council sector.
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated in their approach to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • An excellent communicator.
  • Confident leading new business pitches and presenting creative ideas and digital solutions in a compelling and engaging manner.
  • The candidate will further demonstrate the skills required to research and write technically accurate proposals.
  • A technical understanding of the product is essential to demonstrate all functionality to potential clients and support new clients through general queries.
  • Be confident working autonomously, but also be an inspirational leader and an effective team member.
  • Role Responsibilities
  • Report to the Managing Director
  • Responsible for identifying new business opportunities from a steady feed of inbound enquiries, building a qualified new business pipeline.
  • Take the lead in preparing and delivering new business pitches and written tender response documents.
  • Develop and manage relationships with prospects and existing customers through a combination of daily, out-bound calling and as needed in-person meetings.
  • Work closely with the existing sales and marketing team to develop content that will drive inbound enquiries.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to maintain accurate records in the CRM, managing their sales pipeline and tracking their opportunities through the sales cycle from initial enquiry through to close and handover to a project manager.
  • The applicant will be in control of new business revenue targets, which your performance will be measured against.
