Job Description

Highly regarded not for profit organisation in North London have a new vacancy for a Finance Manager responsible for all financial functions across the group. You will be managing a small team, offering your guidance and financial expertise within a companywith a social conscious. Based in a lovely area of north London, your duties will be varied:

  • Manage year end process, including: prepare supporting year-end schedules for audit, drafting statutory accounts, managing the on-site audit, discuss audit findings report with auditors and draft responses
  • Prepare monthly inter-company account reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly investment journals and management accounts, including: reforecasting as required, preparing an organisational cash flow, reforecasting as required, preparing an organisational debtors report and providing KPIs as needed
  • Manage payroll, including; preparing the payroll, providing payroll guidance to staff and dealing queries
  • Manage the fixed asset register, including: reconciling the register, calculating depreciation
  • Manage the VAT processes
  • Prepare the annual budgets for approval, liaising with budget holders
  • Review purchase orders with the team, credit control, drafting finance policies & procedures,
  • Authorise work prepared by the Finance Officer: bank reconciliations, supplier payments
Experience & Skills
  • CCAB/CIMA qualified accountant, or equivalent experience Knowledge of finance and payroll legislation
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of finance software packages and advanced Excel skills
  • Experience of preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts is essential
  • Experience of payroll management
  • Staff management experience
