We are working with an established plastic product manufacturer based in Wellingborough. They are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a continental shift pattern in return for a salary in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 along with overtime opportunity and additional training and development.The Maintenance Engineer needs to possess a strong hands-on background in mechanical and electrical skills directly related to operating in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Requires considerable working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic knowledge combined with some basic electrical maintenance.Key Responsibilities include:

Following planned, preventative maintenance schedules
Reacting quickly to machinery breakdowns
Reading engineering drawings and schematics
Mechanical and hydraulic maintenance and repair
Basic electrical maintenance
PLC fault finding
Working with other departments to ensure production continues running
Recording all work carried out

Qualifications & Experience required:

City and Guilds / Level 2 or 3 qualification in Engineering
Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship
