Job Description

HGV Class 1 Driver - Permanent Positions - Heywood - Earn up to£58888 per annum - Immediate Starts - Apply Today!Ignition Driver Recruitment are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for immediate starts in Heywood, Greater Manchester working for a major high street retailer. As an HGV Class 1 driver, you will be required to complete both store deliveries and trunking work. The ideal candidates will be happy with afternoon or evening starts ranging from 12 noon to midnight, in return Ignition will offer a guarantee of a minimum40 hours per week. HGV Class 1 drivers will earn pay parity from Day 1 with overtime payable at time and a half after 9 hours. We are also looking for part time or weekend only HGV Class 1 Drivers. *Salary based on drivers working Thursday to Monday doing 50 hours per weekAbout the Jobas a permanent HGV Class 1 Driver for Ignition Driver Recruitment:

  • Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle for a selection of clients
  • Trunking, Store Deliveries, Depot to Depot
  • Some manual handling may be required - training will be given
  • Standard vehicle maintenance checks
  • Route and delivery paperwork completion as standard
Shift times & working hours of a permanent HGV Class 1 Driver:
  • Various shifts available
    • Afternoons
      • Starts between 12:00 and 18:00
    • Nights
      • Starts between 18:00 and 00:00
  • 7 day operation
  • Full time opportunities - 40 hours per week guaranteed
  • Part time opportunities - 24 hours per week guaranteed

What do we need from you to be an HGV Class 1 Driver
  • Full HGV Class 1 driving licence (C+E) with3 months driving experience
  • 90 days tacho recorded driving in the last 180 days
  • We will accept up to 6 points on your licence, but no DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements
  • Digi Tachograph & DCPC Card
