Job Description

REED Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be working closely with a fantastic employer who are seeking to recruit for a Transport Planner on a permanent basis. Previous experience in Transport, Route or Logistics Planning is essential.

  • Salary - 20,000 - £25,000 (Negotiable depending on experience).
  • Location - County Durham - Office based.
  • Working hours - Flexible.
Some of your key duties as Transport Planner will include:-
  • Manage programmed orders and services.
  • Manage plant and truck capacities daily in line with targets KPIs.
  • Ensure product is despatched to the customer on time.
  • Plan future plant and truck availability.
  • Manage late deliveriesincluding a timely notification of these issues to all the relevant parties.
The ideal person will have:
  • Experience of working within a result driven working environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Local geographical knowledge of the area
  • This role requires a candidate who can be flexible and available to work shifts as required by the business
