With over three decades of delivering exceptional manufacturing and engineering services to renowned names in aviation and defence, our client has built a strong reputation for excellence.As the Production Manager, youll be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth running of production, maximising operating capacity, and achieving on-time-in-full objectives. Your expertise in resource planning, LEAN manufacturing, and project management willbe instrumental in driving success. Key Duties:

• Plan and Organise: Take charge of production schedules and assess resource requirements to ensure seamless operations.
• Lead Production Processes: Oversee the production workflow, ensuring efficiency and quality are maintained throughout.
• Collaborate and Coordinate: Liaise with planning engineers, bonded stores, production control, and other departments to meet on-time-in-full objectives.
• Manage Staff and Resources: Supervise and mentor direct staff, identify engineering improvements, and provide guidance for continuous improvement.
• Foster a Safe Environment: Maintain effective housekeeping and safety standards through spot checks and audits.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Excel in Excellence: Showcase your strong excel, project, and IT skills, enabling you to excel in production management.
• Proven Track Record: Bring previous experience in project/production management, demonstrating your ability to drive results.
• Resource Planning Expertise: Utilise your skills in resource planning to optimize production capacity and throughput.
• LEAN Manufacturing: Leverage your knowledge and experience in LEAN manufacturing principles or similar methodologies to streamline processes.
• Safety Consciousness: Possess a relevant H&S qualification, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
• Sheet Metal Proficiency: Demonstrate experience in welding, pressing, heat treatment, forming, and assembly, showcasing your expertise in sheet metal fabrication.
