Job Description

Job Title: Business Development ManagerLocation: Henham, Bishop’s StortfordSalary: £40,000 + OTE £70,000Summary of Position:Our client, an independent family-run business of botanical experts, that specialises in the design, supply and installation of office plants and corporate flowers nationwide, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The BusinessDevelopment Manager will be responsible for creating, developing, and closing new business opportunities with direct clients.The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Proactively prospect new clients, and book strategic appointments through the Business Development Team.
  • Complete Strategic Discussions’ (SDs) with senior contacts in prospects, demonstrating the value of partnering with the client.
  • Create opportunities from these SDs through professional and consistent follow-up.
  • Meet with clients alongside the Design and Specification team to discuss the details of the opportunity with the client.
  • Approve the final proposal sent to the client.
  • Ensure smooth and accurate handover to the commercial admin team.
Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes:
  • Experience working in a Business Development role.
  • Ability to work in, and adapt to, a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent persuasion, influencing and emotional intelligence skills.
  • Ability to approach challenges logically and deliver outcomes.
