Job Description

They are looking to add to their well established team as a Technical CustomerSupport Advisor. This will be an opportunity to learn the full technical specifications of both software and hardware to support their customers with technical queries. What will you be doing in the role of Technical Customer Support

  • Taking calls from customer accounts and providing support with technical and non-technical questions regarding the instruments and related products/services
  • Queries relate to fitting advice, software overview, software and hardware troubleshooting
  • Helping to train customers on how to maximize the equipment the company(s) have available
  • Answer incoming calls regarding technical information
  • Professionally and consistently follow our company procedures and processes to resolve queries based on your technical expertise
  • Support manufacturing
  • Place outbound calls, email, or instant messaging to resolve issues raised by internal departments
  • Document calls
  • Use corporate system to document outbound and inbound activity
  • Support accounts with computer, software, and hardware needs
  • Test and evaluate software and equipmentincluding new products prior to release
  • Participate and support corporate training programs
  • Support and participation in local Customer Events
  • Provide hands-on training, explanation, and tours for local customer events
What is required in the role of Technical Customer Support role
  • Confidence talking to customers / members of the public in any customer service, sales or support capacity
  • Previous experience in customer service or retail or hospitality
  • Experience using Windows, MS Office, MS Outlook
  • Educated to GCSE Standard or equivalent
  • Ability to learn new technical information
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information to a variety of disciplines
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing marketplace

  • Salary up to £25000
  • Working hours - 8-5 with 1 hour for lunch and 2 x 15minute breaks
  • Holidays - 28 days holiday - increasing with length of service up to 33 days plus discretionary Christmas shut down!
