Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Site Quality Engineer to support, plan and carry out the efficient functions within the organisation.Bodycote operates an international network of facilities serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, power generation, oil & gas, construction, machine building medical and transportation.   • Supervise the resource of the QA department
  • Ensure the requirements of the QMS are satisfied.
  • Liaise with customers regarding QA / Inspection functions.
  • Ensure that inspection operatives have the equipment and training resources.
  • Inspecting customers work in accordance with relevant release requirements.
  • Hardness/Micro Hardness Inspection
  • Carry out contract review on customers work.
  • Release work into production.
  • Ensure all quality aspects of customer requirements are maintained.
  • Raise job cards / data cards
  • Perform and Report TUS, SAT and Calibrations
  • Maintain a tidy / safe working environment.
  • Audit Participation & C& P Action, including 8D, lean
  • To provide support on development of new work
  • To provide support for business projects and liaise with customers and sales
  • Supervising improvements, projects, trials and development
  • Liaising with suppliers on the development of new work
  • Provide support to Quality department during sickness and holidays
  • Qualifications, experience and skills:
  • National diploma in Materials/Quality or equivalent.
  • Other relevant experience may be considered.
