Job Description

Nights HGV TechnicianLocation: HaydockSalary: £16.50 per hour dependent on experience.Position: Full-time, PermanentStart Date: ImmediateThe Company:Our client are a large independent commercial vehicle maintenance provider. They are one-stop solution for all transport & fleet requirements specialising in Truck & Trailer Maintenance, Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop, Service Contracts, 24hr Breakdown Service,DVSA ATF, Brake Testing, and Trailer Sales.The Role: You will be working as part of a team of 3 undertaking MOT Preparation, Trailer, and Vehicle diagnostics, attending breakdowns. You will be required to work in busy HGV/Trailer workshop, previous experience is essential. Work includes carrying out serviceand maintenance of predominantly HGV but also Trailers and LGV.Requirements:

  • Must be conversant with current working methods, including MOT Preparation, Trailer and Vehicle diagnostics, be up to date with DVSA standards.
  • Experience of on-site inspections and attending breakdowns preferable. HGV 1 licence is preferable but not essential.
  • Experience of onsite inspections and attending breakdowns preferable.
  • Ability to complete digital & written service/inspection sheets to a high standard.
  • HGV 1 licence is preferable but not essential.
  • IRTEC accreditation desirable
  • Excellent time keeping essential.
Schedule:
  • Hours 18:00 - 06:00 Tuesday - Friday
  • 46 hours per week: Tuesday - Friday 6pm - 6am
