Job Description

Lorry Loading Crane Engineer Location: Haydock, MerseysideSalary: £35k - £37k (DOE) + Excellent BenefitsWorking Hours: 45 per week (8:00 - 17:30, Mon - Fri)Our client is a leading specialist vehicle supplier in the UK, providing fitting, servicing, and repairs for cranes from renowned manufacturers. They are currently seeking a Lorry Loading Crane Engineer to join their team.Duties:

  • Perform maintenance on cranes, ensuring the longevity of the equipment through preventative maintenance and servicing.
  • Minimise avoidable costs by achieving a high first-time fix rate.
  • Provide advice to the group/site on crane-related matters and lifting operations.
  • Reduce crane breakdowns through preventative maintenance on component items.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on components after failure.
  • Complete Risk Assessment/Method Statements and Point of Work Risk Assessments.
  • Collect crane performance data and submit monthly reports to the manager for all sites.
  • Utilise continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to optimise crane availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Perform and oversee loader testing.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • ALLMI Certification for conducting LOLER testing (Preferred, but not essential).
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of LOLER regulations.
  • Possession of a valid and clean driving license.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships with customers.
