Job Description

Company Details and Job Overview:Based on the outskirts of St. Helens, within easy commute from the M6, my client is a rapidly growing market leader and are seeking to recruit an experienced Credit Control Assistant to join their existing team. Due to acquisitions and continued expansion,this role is available for an immediate start for the right candidate. This is a really exciting time to join the business.Your New Role as the Credit Control Assistant:As the new Credit Control Assistant you will report directly into the Credit Control Manager. The duties will be as follows:- The primary purpose of the credit controller is to support the credit control process, ensuring that all payments, credit limits and associated paperwork are transacted within agreed service levels. In addition, they play an important role in the identificationand resolution of discrepancies- Initial set up of new customer account through credit checks, notify customer of agreed credit limit and term in line with company policy - Effective debt collection and maintenance of the accounts ensuring customers adhere to payment terms and credit limits- Sales invoices and credit note generation and sending invoices and statements to customers- Bring to the attention of Senior Management any significant risks relating to potential bad debt, bounced cheques, payment reversal - Prepare information for senior management to review credit limits on a regular basis, evaluating and minimising possible risks- Ensuring good working relations and timely communications will all team members and customers and resolution of any queries Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:To be considered for this position, you will have previous experience of carrying out the duties listed above (or similar). In addition you will have the following attributes:- Excellent administrative and organisational skills Results orientated, initiative-taker Excellent attention to detail, communication, presentation, literacy, and numeracy skills. Capable of setting priorities and bench marking progress towards achieving objectives. Ability to work to deadlines and manage the work of others efficiently. Ability to form strong interpersonal relationships with a wide range of people drawn from different parts of the company and customer organisations.
