Job Description

Class One DriverLocation: HaydockContact: Full Time, PermanentSalary: £33,510Purpose of the roleTo carry out duties within MoviantoUK transport operations to a standard that satisfies MoviantoUK quality expectations. To follow the procedures documented or briefed to ensure operations are completed. To adhere to statutory and company requirements for theHealth & Safety of yourself and others.Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Company vehicles providing appropriate licences and authorisations are current.
  • Offloading and reloading of vehicles at customer’s premises and at depot where required.
  • Assist with warehouse personnel to ensure delivery runs are complete before loading.
  • Show flexibility as you may be required to undertake deliveries in other areas within our distribution area.
  • Carry out daily maintenance checks and ensure the cleanliness of your vehicle to present a professional image.
  • Abide by statutory and legal requirements with relation to drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations.
  • Present tachographs, and or Digi-card for analysis as requested by Depot Management or statutory inspectors.
  • Deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Wear at all times such safety and company uniforms as provided.
  • Be prepared to vary start times and shift patterns as required by the needs of the business.
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by Supervisors/Depot Management including driving a class 2 or van on occasion when necessary to support business operations.
Experience/Skills Required
  • Previous multi-drop delivery operations practical experience.
  • Articulate, Numerate and able to communicate effectively.
  • Possession of appropriate and current licences with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Flexible in approach to work hours.
  • Good state of health and the physical ability to complete operational tasks.
  • Smart and personally well presented.
  • Must hold a Class 1 (CE) licence and a full UK drivers licence
