Do you want to drive cars for a livingThere are hundreds of thousands of contract hire vehicles on the nations roads and our clients are responsible for collecting these vehicles at the end of their lease, remarketing them and then selling them at auction. Forde Automotive in turn, supplies thedrivers to meet these volumes and have done so for over 10 years.Due to an upturn in our requirements, we require drivers in your area.We require careful drivers who are honest and reliable, to ensure the efficient and timely collection and delivery of end of lease contract hire vehicles whilst adhering to our clients policy and legislation, proving customer service excellence at all times.This type of work suits all sorts of people and as long as you are a careful driver, reliable and available full time - we want to hear from you.The JobYoull be working within a team to collect and deliver the end of lease vehicles as per the schedule issued for the day. Typically it is a 10 hour working day (on average), but due to the nature of the job this could of course change due to traffic, job cancellationsetc. Youll always have a lift arranged from car to car, meaning there is no hitch hiking or public transport involved.Key ResponsibilitiesTo carry out single car collections and delivers in a timely and efficient manner as directedTo complete accurate collection / delivery reports, in line with client and customer requirementsTo provide customer service excellence at all times in line with client standardsResponsible for ensuring reporting of all vehicle accidents, damages and faults in a timely manner in line with company policyTo complete any relevant administration, as required - this is usually digitally (via a smartphone or tablet) but could occasionally be paperwork, too.Ensure all customers vehicles and their property such as spare wheels, radios, etc. are secure at all timesFollow HSE policy and use PPE as necessaryTo wear smart business attire and deliver customer services in line with company policyRequired SkillsExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to drive a variety of vehicles with different start-up procedures and transmissions in a safe mannerAble to deal with customer complaints and defuse difficult situations in a calm mannerAble to work as part of a team and on your own to achieve team goalsAble to use your initiative and be flexible and adapt quickly to changeThe pay rate is currently National Living Wage. All positions are temporary but ongoing.All applicants must have held a valid full driving licence for a minimum of 5 years due to commercial insurance stipulations and no more than 6 points accepted for minor driving offences.
