Job Description

Quality EngineerHatfieldMondayThursday 8am-5pmFriday 8am-1pmSalary - £36,000 - £40,000An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a prestigious precision manufacturing business with over 140+ years experience supplying the aerospace, defence and motorsport industries.My client is looking for a Quality Engineer who has in-depth and functional quality engineering knowledge ideally with an aerospace background who has been involved in low/medium volume manufacturing of precision manufactured machined parts.Main responsibilities as a Quality Engineer:

  • Participate in AS9100, NADCAP, and customer audits
  • Evaluate quality of suppliers materials for approval onto the organisations approved supplier list
  • Maintain quality processes across the business
  • Ability to create and facilitate various quality review panels
  • Ensuring that the non-conformance process is applied throughout the business
  • Ability to develop and deliver quality module training to the manufacturing team
Key Skills as a Quality Engineer:
  • In-depth quality engineering experience working in either the aerospace, automotive or medical devices industry
  • Ability to be strong around compliance but practical around customer expectations
  • Knowledge of certified Business Management Systems and their requirements
  • Assured in communicating with all levels in the business to ensure actions are closed out in a timely manner
  • Support with ITAR requirement
  • Process-driven problem-solving methodology
  • Qualifications in any of the relevant quality areas such as lean six-sigma, audit, project management, and risk management
  • Member of a recognised relevant body (Desirable)
  • Solid understanding of the FAIR process
