Network Architect, EMEAPermanentCompetitive Salary & BenefitsHatfieldOur International pharmaceutical client is looking for an experienced Network Architect to design and implement high quality technical Network and Security Infrastructure for the EMEA region. This roles will also be responsible for ensuring that the security and network integrity of the infrastructure is developed and maintained. Main Duties & Responsibilities:* Develop proposals for enhancing the regional network and regional security through the application of technical solutions and/or improved working practices. * Represent region in Global Network Operations committee meetings.* Ensure on-going Security and Network compliance.* Perform prescribed daily, weekly, monthly and annual network and security administration tasks.* Investigate, analyse and resolve any network and security issues/concerns.* Perform regular reviews and audits of systems, system logs, security logs and account management to ensure compliance with Policies and SOPs.* Notify ICT Business Solutions management of any security related incidents.* Produce monthly periodic reports, these must be maintained and enhanced as required, highlighting any remediation activities with the right level of urgency* Maintain all network and security diagrams, inventories and documentation.* Use Problem Management tools and techniques to identify the root cause of problems and select appropriate means of resolution.* Monitor resolution of problems to ensure continuous improvement to the Network Infrastructure.* Internal project work and Vendor lead project work.Skills & Experience required:* Designing/Project Manage, flexible and cost-efficient IT solutions for business requirements.* Producing High Level and Low Level Design documents* Network and Security Administration (Palo-Alto/Panorama)* CISCO Networking Technology, including routing, switching, LAN/WAN/WLAN.* Remote Access (Cisco ASA and AnyConnect)* Checkpoint Firewall and IPS/IDS Technologies (GAIA/CLISH)* IPAM and Subnet Design* Network monitoring tools (i.e. NetFlow, SNMP, MIBs, Solarwinds, Cisco Stealthwatch)* Knowledge of SAN networking (i.e. Cisco Nexus).* Software Defined Networking (SD-WAN and SDA)* Integrating with Cloud Networking (Microsoft ExpressRoute and AWS TGW)* Vendor onboarding and working with service providers/partners* Experience with remote tools for troubleshooting* Ability to Script and Automate deployments and updates (i.e Python)* Policy Based or Intent Based Networking* Open to change and keep in touch with up-coming technologies* As lead member able to mentor and encourage technical team members or peers to adopt new technologies and best practices or new ways of working* Tenacity and the will to ensure that a problem is resolved using all means at ones disposal.* Strong service provider customer-focused approach (a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve customer satisfaction).* Technical knowledge of ICT solutions, systems, communication, security and networks.If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills then please click apply.For further details, please contact us on Gi Group Pharmaceuticals provides a tailored Account Managed Service and dedicated Pharmaceutical recruitment team and partners with many different Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology clients throughout the globe and the United Kingdom.Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited and Grafton Professional Staffing Limited.
