Prospectus is delighted to support our valued partner, Herts Young Homeless (HYH), an independent charity who has been supporting vulnerable people across Hertfordshire since 1998. They provide a variety of services to all 16 - 24-year-olds who are homelessor threatened with homelessness. They are now looking to recruit two compassionate and dedicated Intensive Outreach Workers.As an Intensive Outreach Worker, you will act as the first point of contact to an vulnerable young people aged 18-24 with a significant housing and provide them with advice, guidance and support. This role will include leading, coordinating and implementinga clear plan of support to ensure the care of experienced young persons with significant identified housing needs have their needs met. Where remaining at home isnt an option or appropriate, youll work to secure alternative arrangements whilst building positiverelationships with families and partner agencies to ensure vital early intervention, youll help shape a brighter future for homeless young people.To be considered, you will have previous experience of supporting young people and demonstrate an understanding of the problems homeless young people face. You will be personable and have a non-judgemental approach, whilst using your relevant skills thus,providing welcoming support to these vulnerable young people.
