Job Description

GENERAL Manager / Depot Manager - based in Hatfield AL9 £48k - £50k + benefits including 25 hols / Health care / Pension + more...We are seeking an experienced DEPOT General Manager, To take responsibility of the operational requirements within the depot to include all aspects relating to safe, efficient, economical operations with a focus on customer service and development of individuals within the depot.. DUTIES TO INCLUDE: Health, Safety & Environmental compliance /Monitor and report on KPIs.

  • To be experienced in DEPOT MANAGEMENT or Construction Hire / Plant Hire.
  • Manage and monitor transport activities within the depot to ensure the most efficient and cost effective use of company vehicles and/or external hauliers.
  • To manage stock levels within job holders depot and implement initiatives to ensure accurate recording of stock levels.
    • To succeed you will need:
  • Commercial Acumen: Understands the business, its strategy, goals and priorities, as well as the external business environment, and uses this knowledge to make sound, commercial judgements.
  • Customer Focus: Provides a first class customer service by really understanding what a customer wants and then doing everything possible to exceed their expectations.
  • Stock Management: Understands the importance of accurate stock management, takes accountability for stock management within their control and drives initiatives to create a culture of accurate stock management.
  • Transport Management: Understands costs associated with the transportation of products. Identifies ways to minimise all costs, by identifying and maximising opportunities.
  • Health, Safety, Compliance and Quality experienced
