Job Description

Quality EngineerManufacturingHampshire£32,000 - £38,000A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a growing, successful organisation on a full-time permanent basis based in the Hampshire area.The Quality Engineer is required to have the following;

  • Effective communication, to build trust and encourage involvement from management and teams
  • Ability to work in a team
  • A can-do, problem solving attitude and ability to work in fast paced, high-pressure environment
  • Experiences in the use of quality tools and methodologies – 5 Whys, 8D, RCA, CAPA, FAIRs etc.
  • Relevant Engineering/Quality qualification
  • The Quality Engineer will be required to do the following;
  • Support the quality manager with administrative activities relating to quality matters.
  • Support the continued conformance to the quality management system and our ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  • Support in maintaining any third-party accreditations as appropriate to the business.
  • Participate in QHSE meetings and ensure the communication of actions is effective.
  • To be actively involved in the day-to-day production/test & despatch activities in the factory, working to resolve quality issues and prevent their recurrence.
  • Problem solve shop floor level manufacturing issues, liaising with other staff and suppliers to identify the cause of the non-conformity and appropriate actions to prevent a recurrence.
  • Update quality documentation as necessary, including calibration logs, training records and skills matrix.
  • Monitor quality and performance metrics, including supplier quality.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement, leading teams to reduce waste and build mistake-proofing techniques into our existing processes.
  • Assist with internal audits.
