Job Description

JOB- Production & Costings EngineerLOCATION- HampshireTERM- PermanentSALARY- £27,000-£35,000 plus other benefitsMy client is looking for a Production & Costings Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the Hampshire area. The ideal candidate will come from an Electronics background with costing experience in a Manufacturing environmentThe Production Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Electronics, contract manufacturing or cable assembly background beneficial
  • Experience of costing in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Be able to read & interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Competent in problem solving, planning and decision making
  • Ability to work under pressure
    • The Production Engineer role will involve:
  • Creating/ updating work instructions, process sheets,
  • Providing technical support where needed
  • Work with sales and business managers to maximise opportunities
  • Creating BOMs, drawings and costings for variety of customers
  • Provide support to purchasing (daily & strategic)
  • Processing ECR’s and producing corrective actions, participating in change request reviews
  • Responsible for updating MRP system and maintenance of BOMS.
