They provide consistent and flexible approaches to the people we support and are always striving for positive outcomes.Supporting someone with a learning disability isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported to the beach, to hydrotherapy sessions, or providing sensory stimulation.What experience do I needPrevious Support Worker experience is highly desirable, particularly with a background of working with complex and challenging behaviours, or autism. You need to be a confident, positive person who can adapt in difficult situations. If you are a caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. You’ll need to be comfortable making decisions, and be confident to communicate effectively with both colleagues, families and external agencies.You must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, Bank Holidays and sleep ins.Who are Thera GroupThera Group are a charity that support people with a learning disability in the community.
