Job Description

Live vacancy through Teaching PersonnnelWe are seeking a flexible Technology teacher (specialism in resistant materials or graphics, or product design, or electronics is essential) join an Ofsted rated good school on a long-term basis in the BB4 area of Rossendale, Lancashire. The role is required to begin on Wednesday 4th January and will continue for at least a term, but likely to run longer until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be required to teach Monday to Friday both KS3 and KS4, therefore experience teaching both is essential.The staff at this school are extremely proud of their students and how their ethos creates innovation to succeed. Their modern school facilities allow the students to flourish in the areas they enjoy, including technology. This means the successful candidatewill need to boast a natural desire to teach the subject, have past teaching experience, and a positive attitude to aid the students in exceeding, as the school believe the building is only as good as the people working within.Job Role:

  • Delivering interactive lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Planning and marking of the allocated classes
  • Maintain a positive class atmosphere
  • Be able to confidently manage a class of up to 30 students and having control of the behaviour
  • Teaching both KS3 and KS4, therefore including the chosen GCSE specification
  • Offering support to students to confirm understanding of any aspects of the lessons
Candidate Criteria
  • Experience with the subject specialism
  • A proven track record of positive feedback from experience
  • A degree in a Technology based subject is desirable
  • Have knowledge of the Technology curriculum at both KS3 and KS4 and have high expectations to ensure this is delivered to produce excellent results
