Job Description

HSE Officer - 12 month contractHSE Officer required for a 12 month contract (potentially a permanent opportunity) Our client is an international ISO accredited manufacturing business which is looking to appoint a HSE office to join their business initially on a 12 month fixed term contract.Reporting into the site manager and working in conjunction with the compliance team, your duties will include:-

  • Implementing and improving health & safety systems
  • Conducting on site risk assessments
  • Training new & existing employees on H&S policies and processes
  • Reporting any accidents or incidents to the HSE (in line with procedures)
  • Maintaining relevant databases for chemical storage
  • Fire Safety Compliance
  • Managing environmental compliance (waste management permits etc)
  • Preparation and distribution of environmental reports
  • Site assessments and internal auditing
  • Attending management meetings
    • To be considered for this role you will need to have knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, previous audit experience and the ability to work independently. This is a hands on role which will require an operational HSE officer who isn’t afraid to get stuck in!In return for the right candidate, our client is offering a competitive numeration package and the opportunity for a permanent opportunity if desired.
