Job Description

Adecco Engineering have an exclusive opening with our client based in Harwich Essex for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our clients organisation on a permanent basis.This role is day-shift Monday to Friday (with on call rota and potential overtime dependant on experience)Ideal candidates will hold relevant qualification, Level 2 NVQ, BTech, HNC/HND, or equivalent and will have worked within process or chemical, industries however applicants who have worked in heavy engineering environment or FMCG will also be considered.Main OverviewReporting to Mechanical Team Leader - You will be required to maintain, repair, and execute preventative plant maintenance on various equipment and to ensure safe, reliable Plant Operations.Responsibilities include:Undertake maintenance and repair activities on Mechanical Equipment in workshop/on-site.Support Planned Preventative Maintenance and plant modification improvements.Work Planning - Plan workload, materials, and parts. Execute heavy lifting operations.Carry out some welding/fabrication.Skills/Qualification/ExperienceApplicants must have relevant experience ideally gained in heavy engineering plant.Mechanical qualification, Level 2 NVQ, BTech, HNC/HND, or equivalentCareer Level - Technician/Senior Technicians Level - further development and opportunity to progress to Senior Technician will be supported.Good communication skills, record keeping, an eye for detail as well as analytical skills.Competitive Salary and benefits on offer - applicants with drivers licence preferred.
