We have an opportunity for a Global Transport and Logistic company, attracting Customs Import Managers based in Harwich. The person we are looking for must be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high job quality.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy customs team, adding extra quality to an already high skilled team, provide solutions to challenges and problems whilst at the same time working under pressure. You will be leading a customs team to deliver department objectives and KPI`s. A self-starter who can convey and implement their own vision to drive the team. Be able to create a culture that focuses on employees` strengths through training and development. Have full responsibility for UK Customs processes and declarations.KEY REQUIREMENTS & SKILLSAn excellent understanding of HMRC regulations for international Exports, Imports and TransitProven track record and experience in International OperationsLead inspire and develop a dynamic Customs teamEnsure all Customs declarations and processes are completed within a timely manner to avoid delays to international parcels for both exports and importsEnsure Customs declarations are compliant with HMRC regulationsLead and assist with the implementation of new operational processes in-line with the development of International services and productsProvide recommendations and implement Customs processes and simplificationsLiaise with and maintain an excellent working relationship with HMRC and Border Force on Customs matters and enquiriesPrevious experience in this role.Relevant qualifications in relation to the positionExcellent communication & IT skills WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOUA role in a successful, dynamic company Be a part of a strong team of performance driven colleagues Competitive salary plus benefits Great future career prospects for advancementA professional working environment Click the apply, or call Shilpa for more details on the role
