Our client is a market leader within the automotive and high performance engineering space, supplying a number of top flight motorsport teams and vehicle OEMs. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team to support in designingtest facilities, product design and system integration.The main role will be the production of 3D models, productions drawings to BS ISO 129-1:2018 and 2D annotated drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.Roles and Responsibilities* Produce accurate and detailed mechanical designs, drawings and engineering calculations.* Produce Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications and test criteria documentation.* Develop and maintain a level of expertise in products and services, full training will be provided.* Conduct detailed site surveys at customers facilities with the aim of producing 3D and 2D layout representations of test facilities, services and equipment.* Assist other business functions in a technical capacity, when required.* Provide support and guidance during the installation and commissioning phase of a project.* Travel will be required to client and customer sites (mainly United Kingdom but occasional European travel may be required).Experience Requirements* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (Preferred).* HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering if able to demonstrate 10+ years of mechanical design experience.* 3D Modelling (SolidWorks or similar).* 2D Annotation (SolidWorks, AutoCAD LT or similar).* IT Literate and able to use MS Office.Other Requirements* Right first time attitude.* Logical approach to problem solving.* Full UK Driving LicenseKey Information* Candidates will be asked to provide evidence of professional qualifications and any vocational training declared.* Salary: Competitive - Dependent on experience.* 25 days holiday plus statutory holidays (increases to 26 days after 10 years).* Healthcare cash plan.* Life insurance.* Cycle scheme.* 5 Hours Per Week (Mon - Fri).* Hybrid working available.NS85 Ltd is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
