Job Description

Full Stack Developer - PHP Partly Remote BirminghamAre you a PHP Developer who has experience working on complex and dynamic business systemsHaving begun over 30 years ago, this unique fully integrated agency has expanded to become a global influence in their sector. The team consists of over 350 employees, based in seven locations across the UK. They place employee care at the forefront of their business, with several acres of central facilities, film rooms, and studio suites to aid digital innovation.They are looking for this Full Stack Developer to have a major contribution to advanced digital solutions for their high-profile clients. You will be working with a full team of managers, designers, and fellow developers.Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to the digital team by constructing dynamic web applications, using various web technologies.
  • Craft complex systems from specification and client briefs
  • Cooperate with your development team and peer-review each others codes.
  • Have awareness of new technologies that will benefit the department.
    • Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in PHP, MVC framework e.g., Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
  • Experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • JavaScript frameworks e.g., jQuery or React.
  • Experience with agile tools/techniques
  • API integration
    • Desirable:
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Customising WordPress systems
  • Git and JIRA version control systems
    • Characteristics:
  • Works well with a team.
  • Have an attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Good interpersonal skills - ability to communicate and translate digital solutions to non-IT people.
  • Not afraid of a challenge
