They are seeking a qualified therapist with previous Schools experience.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Specialist (Band 6) Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join our team of SLTs providing input to children and young people (CYP) with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) within local authority schools in Harrow. The candidatewould be expected to fulfil the SLT requirements for the CYP; providing assessment, therapy input and monitoring targets which are already set. The candidate would be expected to work autonomously within the school settings, liaising with SENCOs and teachingstaff to support the generalisation of targets into the education settings. Support would be provided by a Clinical Supervisor to outline the ways of working and support with cases and any issues arising. The candidate should have a sound knowledge of currentevidence-based intervention approaches, use of formal and informal assessments and have the ability to make therapy sessions fun and functional. The age-range of the CYP is from Reception aged school-based up Secondary Year 13. CYP are seen within a rangeof group and individual sessions, with a range of speech and language needs, e.g. DLD, autism, speech and social skills.Position Requirements
