We currently service accounts across both the profit and cost sectors and our comprehensive network of depots enables us to successfully service clients from independent to national accounts level.THE ROLE:This is an excellent role and an important one in the set-up of this depot. As Transport Manager for the depot, you will be responsible for circa 100 commercial vehicles and drivers and a transport budget of between £5m to £10m, working with a supervisory team you will be an excellent and motivating leader. It is a 6 day operation but your hours will likely be Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday or bank holiday work. You will be responsible for controlling transport dept resources and costs, achieving divisional targets, to monitor stock and routing reports, regular reviews with staff assessing behaviours and performance along with H&S compliance.THE APPLICANT:You will be a time served Transport Manager with experience of working in a business that delivers products directly to customers, should you have any exposure to food then this might prove advantageous, but it is not essential. You will have experience of working in a business managing directly and through a team of supervisors, planners, analysts etc. You must possess a CPC license and a site O license would be advantageous.If you have experience of managing a multi drop fast moving transport environment, then this would also be beneficial.
