Working in partnership with leading universities across the country, the Pearson Online Learning Services (POLS) teams provideservices including marketing, student recruitment, course content development, training and ongoing student support. The Training & Quality Assurance Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting the Managers and Team Leaders in the Recruitment Servicesfunction through the delivery of group and individual training sessions and the provision of tools and resources to develop core sales skills, expert product knowledge and technical proficiency. The postholder will serve as a subject matter-expert for a rangeof online courses and technology platforms used by B2B and B2C salespeople.Your key responsibilitiesExpectations of the role are varied and individual tasks and projects will be assigned based on the requirements of the managers and team leaders within the Recruitment Services function.Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Supporting the management team with the induction and on-boarding of new team members and monitoring their early progression.
  • Planning and delivering group and individual training sessions to develop contextual awareness, product knowledge and consultative sales skills.
  • Creating and updating sales training materials, technical user guides and other content for team training purposes.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback surveys and trends from performance data.
  • Monitoring the university news pages and staying up to date with research activity and wider industry trends relevant to the courses in our portfolio.
  • Representing the recruitment team as a subject matter expert (for required projects) such as technology implementations and quality assurance procedures.
  • Promoting diversity, equity and inclusion as an integral part of the team culture.
Our successful candidateThe following requirements are essential for the role:
  • A cover letter included with your CV to demonstrate your achievements in Training.
  • Experience of working in a sales environment with a strong understanding of the principles of consultative sales.
  • Experience of leading group and individual training sessions, either as a dedicated trainer or in a role that involves training colleagues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
  • Proficient user of CRM systems and technology platforms in previous roles.
  • Self-sufficient and adaptive in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment.
  • Approachable, enthusiastic and capable of building high-trust relationships.
  • Technically proficient and capable of delivering training sessions and creating user guides for our range of technology platforms.
The following experience would be an advantage:
  • Educated to Bachelors degree level or an equivalent level 6 qualification.
  • Experience of training and/or coaching in a sales environment.
  • Experience and confidence in delivering face-to-face and virtual presentations.
  • Experience and understanding of B2B sales and pipeline management.
  • Experience usingSalesforceLightning.
