Job Description

CORONAVIRUS NOTICE: Empowering Learning are still recruiting staff during this time of crisis, in preparation for vacancies to start in the eventuality of schools reopening. All interviews for positions will be conducted over Skype or telephone.Teaching Assistant

    • Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support Secondary Schools across Harlow, Essex. The Teaching Assistant will be comfortable and confident to work 1:1 with a student on a daily basis within the classroom.Job Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with SEN needs
  • Supervising pupils behaviour
  • Encourage and support the pupils learning and development
  • Support social interaction
  • Helping the teacher prepare for lessons and plan activities

    • Job Requirements
  • Experience of support children or adults with SEND needs
  • Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
  • Available 5 days a week
  • Able to commit to 6-12 months
