Job Description

Stock Controller - HarlowSalary of £27,661 plus £1,500 bonusShift Pattern:Monday - Friday 11:00 - 20:30 on a rota to cover Saturdays with a rest day allocated in the week or Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 - 19:30 Working alongside the Warehouse Management team, Warehouse Operatives, Transport and Admin teams, this position will play a key role in meeting current & future customer service requirements and maintain cost efficiency & quality of service in line withthe Distribution Centre goals.This role requires working in areas with temperature and humidity variations (Dry, cooler and freezer)Key Accountabilities:

  • Driver check in - ensuring driver paperwork and returned product is processed, that products are properly coded, and staged for put away in a fast and efficient manner as well as entering data into the Warehouse Management system.
  • Responsible for checking in all assets / media from drivers and moving to holding locations or wash area as well as checking for damaged media
  • Responsible for all returned stock through driver check in, ensuring temperature checks are completed and stock is put away, including following processes for any QC or damaged products
  • Dealing with backhaul stock and following processes and guidelines
  • Ensuring that stock is in the correct place at the right time to deliver customer orders.
  • Accurately store and record information. Monitor discrepancies and investigate identified stock problems to reach a resolution
  • Ensure that all inventory policies and procedures are followed
  • Follow Brakes preferred work methods at all times and immediately advise Team Leader of any unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to mechanical handling equipment.
  • Develop a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Inventory Management Team
Skills & Qualifications:Ideally, we are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
  • Strong, analytical and communication skills. Being curious about the detail, take initiative to understand information as a whole, demonstrating the ability to communicate across the team and all levels across the business
  • PC and systems literacy especially around Microsoft Excel are advantageous.Ability to act on own initiative and work autonomously with limited guidance and sup
