Job Description

Exertis is a leading brand in the technology distribution industry focusing on building & maintaining key relationships with vendors & retail customers. We require an exceptional PR Executive to play a key role in winning and executing media relations campaigns for multiple brands, expanding our in-house PR activity and driving value for Exertis brands by earning them high-value positive exposure in the UK media.The role holder will engage in a wide range of media-focused activities across a comprehensive vendor set. Supporting the Senior PR & Content Manager, the role holder will engage directly with the media as well as pitching our services to vendors and playing a role in winning new business. They will be a driven, enthusiastic and talented individual, capable of taking a range of plans and campaigns to vendors and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:

  • Help to develop and implement PR and media-buying campaigns and content marketing projects for new and existing products within the vendor set.
  • Work with team leaders to deliver PR campaigns, engaging directly with the media to create, organise, manage and report on media coverage for our fee-paying vendors.
  • Contribute to the creation of written assets, such as press releases, bespoke media pitch documents, etc, displaying a keen sense of audience understanding and appropriate tone of voice.
  • Work with team leaders to learn and master complex campaign proposals, then take those proposals to vendors to win new and repeat business
  • Develop ongoing connections with brands in order to learn product roadmaps, understand brand needs and spot new PR, media-buying and content marketing opportunities.
  • Coordinate quarterly campaign marketing activity from vendor recruitment, liaison with agency/studio, production, proof management, launch and ROI tracking.
  • Work closely with our commercial and sales teams to understand vendor roadmaps and market opportunities to translate into bespoke vendor marketing plans.
  • Work with team to produce PR reports, coverage books and other reports to feedback activity and ROI to vendors.
  • Analyse and research current market conditions and competitor information within campaign and vendor aligned areas to feed back to team leaders.
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct
  • Key Skills and Experience
  • Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in PR/Media Relations activity
  • Experience in developing & maintaining marketing strategies
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and sustain a high level of energy & concentration in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Good interpersonal and networking skills - internally and externally
