Job Description

Can you bring your Porter skills to support our domestics departmentWould you like to be part of a team that works well together ensuring the hospital can work to full capacity This location is easily accessible by public transport and has onsite parking.If you answered yes, The Princess Alexandra NHS Trust would love to hear from you.We have long-term placement opportunities available for a Porter available at Princess Alexandra HospitalThis is a full-time position working on a 24/7 flexi rota. The hourly rate starts at £10.38-£18.59 dependent on shiftDuties included:

  • Transport patients around the hospital on beds, trollies and chairs.
  • Transport good and equipment around the hospital
  • Transport deceased patients to the mortuary
  • Transfer pharmacy products to wards
  • Distribute and receive internal and external mail
    • The skills required are:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic English and Maths
  • Knowledge of hospital and wards
  • Use initiative to act accordingly to what youre transferring from wards.
