Job Description

This company is well-known within the hospitality and foodservice sector. They provide catering equipment and design solutions covering every aspect of their clients catering operations - from one-off refurbishments to full design concepts including interiors, servery counters, joinery, finishes and signage. With a number of offices nationwide they are currently looking for an Interior Designer to join their office based in Essex near the Hertfordshire borders and within easy access to London and Motorways. Responsibilities for the Interior Designer will include to:

  • Prepare drawings and floorplans for customers using standard formats combined with innovative styles of presentation to illustrate concepts & finished projects using AutoCAD
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate quotations
  • Demonstrate innovation when producing 3D rendered visuals and presentation material for customer projects
  • Continually be focused on maximum customer satisfaction utilising high levels of communication both verbally and written
  • Demonstrate awareness for colleagues and internal customers needs at all times
  • Create concept / mood boards to communicate design concepts to clients
  • Select design strategies and colour palettes to create cohesive and aesthetically pleasing environments
  • Enhance and improve interior spaces operationally in line with 2D designs and arranging furnishings, artwork, and décor
  • Perform research and maintain a working knowledge of trends and new developments in the interior design marketplace.
    • Personal Qualities Required for the Interior Designer:
  • Creative, positive, proactive, team player, organised, able to work to deadlines, willingness to learn, self-motivated, adaptable, good communication skills, problem solver and have a passion for what you do.
    • Other Skills and Knowledge Required for the Interior Designer:
  • AutoCAD software proficient with other industry software experience (e.g. SketchUp Pro / Photoshop / V-Ray / SU Podium).
  • Customer service focused interpersonal skills plus judgement and decision making skills, spatial planning skills and an interior design background with relevant qualifications.
  • A Car Owner would be preferred, but not essential.
