Job Description

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant seeking a new challenge, or even looking for another care opportunity in which to enhance your income We can offer you flexible working and an opportunity to develop new skills and progress your career.Our client is a young adult male with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, has a tracheostomy and PEG and is totally dependent on his care team to meet all his needs.He resides at home with his parents and your role will be to provide full care and support to our client at the family home and out in the community.Pay rates: From £11.08 - £17.92 (inclusive of holiday pay)Flexible working: Shift patterns are: Waking Nights 20.00 – 08.00 & 16.00 – 20.00 Monday – Friday plus 10.00 – 16.00 @ weekends. Extended hours during school holidaysThere will be an opportunity for you to attend a meet & greet / work shadow shifts prior to going live – this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate where you will receive great job satisfaction.As a Healthcare Assistant you will have an opportunity to build on your current experience by working directly with clinical interventions including but not limited to:-

  • NG/Gastrostomy feeding,
  • BIPAP,
  • Cough Assist,
  • Tracheostomy.

  • We are seeking Healthcare Assistants (HCA’s) to work in partnership with our nurses to provide clinical interventions for patients with a range of debilitating conditions and disabilities. You will be compassionate and caring with a desire to succeed in all that you do. We have an excellent training programme in place to support you with your career development.As a Healthcare Assistant with Interserve you will:
  • Have paid experience as a support worker or healthcare assistant (HCA) in a community, residential or hospital setting
  • Be committed to providing the highest standard of compassionate care
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
  • Sound knowledge of person centred care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
