Job Description

Join our client as an Group financial Controller and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the business. As a professional financial business partner, youll collaborate closely with business Directors, driving the unification of ourfinance team to support both Commercial and Supply Chain functions in the UK.Client DetailsOur Client is a high growth global retail manufacturing & in store merchandising business operating across 73 countries globally.DescriptionResponsibilities:

  • The Group Financial controller will act as a strategic business partner to the Area Director, Plant Director, and Commercial Directors, covering countries where the business operates in the region.
  • Proactively drive and streamline financial processes, fostering continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing insights to the Area Director and Group CFO.
  • Ensure timely and accurate area closing activities on a monthly and annual basis, including in-depth analysis.
  • Drive and deliver budget and forecast processes for the area on a quarterly and yearly basis.
  • Monitor and support the Area Director in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Deliver thorough analysis on product mix, income, customers, profitability, and sales performance.
  • Ensure compliance with group policies and support Commercial Directors in policy implementation.
  • Uphold standard rules and procedures defined by the Group (IFRS).
  • Lead the local IT Team in collaboration with Group IT.
  • Oversee financial accounting, tax, external audits, and authorities interactions.
  • Foster financial awareness across the area.
Profile
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial controlling.
  • Bachelors degree in finance, management, or related field.
  • Background in finance management and audit.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in MS Office, with strong Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and BI tools.
  • Previous experience leading small teams.
