Job Description

This dynamic environment contributes to a thriving growth-focused culture throughout Exertis, providing many career opportunities that span sales, commercial and corporate activities.Role Summary:Working within our newly created central studio, you will be responsible for taking briefs, designs and creative concepts through to final print or digital ready artwork. You will typically be required to produce technically accurate files for Packaging, Websites, Press ad campaigns, Social media content, Customer presentations and Internal communications. Accuracy will be at the heart of everything you do, from checking page pagination and links, to colour profiles and output quality. You will also ensure that all processes and procedures have been followed during the final stages of artwork preparation, reducing the chances of errors and mistakes.In this exciting role you will be making a significant contribution to the ongoing growth and business goals of Exertis.Role description:

  • Create and share best practise for design and technical execution across all marketing collateral production on and offline, static and animated content
  • Show leadership in ensuring all work carried out meets the correct brand guidelines for both Exertis and where applicable the Vendors
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the Exertis group of companies websites
  • Develop HTML email and design microsites for leading brands across multiple platforms
  • Work with marketing team to evolve E marketing capability in support of the Marketing team objectives
  • Generate and produce artwork for a variety marketing assets and materials from adverts, brochures, literature, stationary display banners, flyers, catalogue pages to responding to bespoke briefs
  • Ensure all websites and microsite are maintained and update to comply with IT security policies and requirements
  • Demonstrating strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the Group Business Conduct Guidelines.
  • Ensure visual consistency across all own brand assets and projects
  • Take ownership of projects, driving them forward with good communication
  • Ensure all assets and output files are accurate and correct
  • Ensure all assets and output files are fully compliant and approved by Test
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail remain at the heart of everything you produce
  • Ensure all work carried out meets the Exertis brand guidelines.
  • Key Skills and Experience:
  • Excellent understanding of all design processes and principles, including typography. Layout and technical skills
  • Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Creative Suite
  • Experience taking a project from initial ideas through to final artwork and print ready PDF
  • Post production retouching, image manipulation and editing in Photoshop
  • Able to prioritise workload, follow critical paths, processes and work to tight deadlines
  • Previous experience of designing and building HTML emails an advantage
  • Responsive design skills required and familiarity with frameworks such as Bootstrap preferable
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-browser compatibility
  • Self-starter and driven to deliver results directly and through influence of others
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face and virtually
  • Collaborative and strong team player
  • Creative flair and experience of work in design agency would be advantageous
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, and sustain a high level of energy & concentration in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Courage to challenge the status quo
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • 2+ Years experience with proven portfolio
  • Special Requirements / Additional Information:
  • Fluent in English
  • Clean driving licence, limited travel in the UK
