Job Description

Façade Fire Safety EngineerMy client, a London based consultancy, are looking to appoint a Fire Safety Engineer who specialises in Façades.My client is experiencing significant growth and is looking to appoint and experienced Façade Fire Safety Engineer to a newly created position to help maintain the level of expansion.Operating across various sectors the you will need to have experience with external façades, assurance services, fire stopping, working at height and balcony inspections.The Successful Fire Safety Engineer

  • BSc Fire Safety/Fire Safety Engineering, or
  • IFE Level 5 Diploma in Fire Engineering
  • Minimum 7 years experience working on complex buildings, including cavity barriers, structural integrity, fixed materials to façades and residential building for fire safety.
  • An understanding of MHCLG guidelines regarding external façades
  • An understanding of building regulations, construction best practice and legislations.
  • Experience with Lab analysis and final reporting is desirable.
    • The Role
  • Assess and identify suitability of façade, cladding systems, fabric construction arrangements and structure in accordance with guidance issued by MHCLG.
  • Critiquing and reviewing plans for new and existing buildings in relation to external design.
  • Experience in surveying all properties (commercial, residential and high-rise) is key to this role.
  • Experience with fire safety on complex buildings and designs focused on façades and life safety fabrics is also key.
