Job Description

Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) TeacherLocation:HarlowContract: Permanent, Full Time (Part-time may be considered)Start Date: January 2024Salary: Main Scale 1 to 6About Us:A Primary Academy, nestled in the heart of Epping/Harlow, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to join our thriving school community.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: As an EYFS Teacher at Our Primary Academy, you will:

  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children, fostering positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons, promoting a love of learning and intellectual curiosity.
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils, differentiating appropriately and supporting diverse learning styles.
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment, using formative and summative assessments to secure pupils progress.
  • Manage behavior effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment, establishing clear rules and routines.
  • Fulfill wider professional responsibilities, contributing to the schools ethos, engaging in professional development, and effectively communicating with parents.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the relevant curriculum area.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to support pupils with diverse needs, including those with special educational needs.
  • Effective communication skills with parents, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
