We are seeking an enthusiastic and helpful person with direct experience of working with patients, ideally with some phlebotomy experience to join our new and exciting multi-disciplinary anticoagulation team.This is a valuable role within the new patient focused community Anticoagulation Monitoring Service (AMS).Your main role will be participating in the day to day delivery of the anti-coagulation service by performing point of care INR tests, obtaining information from patients and documenting results. You may also be required to sort, request and process samples for INR’s. You will be trained in the use of dedicated software to help with the management of patients.Your own transport is essential as you are required to drive between clinics throughout the morning.You may also be required to perform domiciliary INR tests.Excellent communication skills are required to work effectively as part of a team and to help and support patients.A caring and kind approach with attention to detail is required.You will also work with Anticoagulation Nurses, Pharmacists and Biomedical Scientists to help deliver and develop this exciting new service.You will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of professional behaviour to improve the patient experience and support other Health Care Professionals.In return we can offer support and development in a committed and pro-active team, with the chance to make a real difference to patient care.For further details / informal visits contact:NameClaire GibsonJob titleAnticoagulation LeadTelephone number
