Job Description

Associate Specialist Community Paediatrician,£1000 Golden Hello bonus, training provided, career progression opportunitiesRural West Essex10 PA – 40 hours (12 PA available after probation period)Are you a dedicated and innovative Associate Specialist Paediatrician with experience working in the community Are you looking for an opportunity to progress your career and be offered training and development by experienced consultants West Essex has a unique contract partnering with Essex County Council and West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Commissioners in order to provide children and families with an integrated approach and easier access to specialist services.Feel ProudAs an Associate Specialist Community Paediatrician within Virgin Care, Essex you’ll join a team who are focused on clinical excellence and recently received a “good” CQC rating.Your days will be rewarding and varied and include but not be limited to: delivering developmental paediatric clinics, assessing children with a range of concerns that are affecting their development or educational potential, in accordance with our established referral criteria, contribute to medical assessments of children where there are safeguarding concerns, liaise with other health professionals to ensure coordinated management of assessments, treatment and follow up and contribute to the audit and clinical governance programmes.You will join a growing team of 5 paediatricians providing specialist assessment, diagnosis and on-going care to children, young people and families in Essex.You will have full GMC registration with the ability to demonstrate an in depth medical knowledge.You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how working in community settings differs from hospitals, show willingness to work without immediate supervision and have the ability to diagnose and appropriately manage abnormality in children, including neurodevelopment, special needs and autism.The community Paediatricians also host meetings every 3 months which incorporate CPD, clinical governance, service design, safeguarding supervision and peer review, audit, medicines management and team management.Feel ValuedYou will feel valued as an Associate Specialist Community Paediatrician with Virgin Care, receiving access to exclusive rewards and benefits including:
