Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Quidenham, Norfolk
  • Salary: £21,709.61 - £22,388.59 (dependent on experience)
  • Job Type: Permanant- Term Time, Full-time (40 hours per week)
We are seeking dedicated primary and secondary Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school in Quidenham, Norfolk. This school caters to students with communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, and thosewho may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties that create barriers to learning.Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support children with their learning and care within the school and other settings.
  • Develop and deliver personalised learning plans.
  • Assist with daily routines, transitions, and positive behaviour management.
  • Support the Class Teacher with the day-to-day running of the class.
  • Tailor approaches to individual students to ensure each has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE Maths and English Language qualification minimum Level 2 or C grade or equivalent.
  • Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or willingness to work towards this.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience with pupils with SEMH, ASD is desirable.
  • Due to the rural location, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are strongly advised.
