Job vacancySENDIASS ManagerWe are seeking a committed and experienced person to manage the team delivering the Special Educational Needs Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) for Haringey parents/carers and children & young people with SEND.This is an opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team at a dynamic, well-regarded Tottenham-based charity. Markfield isan inclusive community hub where people can play, socialise and get information & support - and our aim is to promote equality, participation and choice for disabled people and their families.The SENDIASS is part of our suite of family support services, which also includes carers’ support groups, family play sessions and parent training programmes about SEN and disability issues.This role is very busy and varied, holding responsibility for planning the strategic development of the service, the management of the staff team and budget, as well as undertaking some direct advice service delivery to parents and young people.You will need an understanding of the needs of, and experience of working with, disabled people and their families, as well as knowledge of SEND legislation and Local Authority procedures, and the ability to lead and manage a team.Hours: 25 hours a weekSalary: £28,665 pro rataAnnual leave: 25 days a year pro rata, rising to 30 days after 3 years’ serviceContract: permanentClosing date: 5pm on Tuesday 6th October 2020Interviews will be held on Wednesday 14th October 2020 Required skills
