Job Description

Post Title:Reprographics OfficerPurpose

  • To have responsibility for ensuring that the Academy is serviced in relation to its design, reprographics and publication needs and for managing the reprographics and audio-visual resources in the Academy.
  • To ensure that the skills of the post-holder and others in the Academy are kept abreast of technological and educational development through training.

  • Produce Reprographics and Learning Resources
  • To maintain existing reprographics equipment and supplies.
  • To ensure the Academy is serviced by high quality cost efficient and effective design, reprographics and publication services either provided directly, or where appropriate, sourced outside the Academy
  • To carry out basic repair of equipment i.e., photocopiers
  • To manage acquisition of learning resources from broadcast and digital sources and related licensing and copyright requirements.
  • To advise staff on the use of reprographics equipment and advise on new developments and opportunities.
  • To provide technical support for all assembles
  • Plans and coordinates day to day print shop workflow activities and operations
  • To be responsible for the assembly of displays in PurpleLane’ and other areas across the site.
  • To produce monthly print run costs for the line manager.
  • To work with Senior Leadership Team and middle leaders in preparing materials for Academy events as outlined in the Academy calendar.
  • Other Duties:To have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and to follow the child protection procedures adopted by the Academy.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES COMMON TO ALL STAFF
    1. To be part of the Academy’s duty rota as required, including supervision during the lunch period, but such that the post holder has a lunch break of at least 30 minutes
    2. To promote positive student conduct. To confront negative student conduct and take appropriate steps to deal with it.
    3. To comply with the Academy’s Health and Safety Policy and to ensure that working environments and working practices employed by the postholder
    4. To promote the Academy’s equal opportunities policy and to work in accordance with it.
